Interestingly enough, this powerful substance only interacts with structures that have less than a ph of 7. This means that it likes an acidic environment. Scientists have learned that many of the diseases and stressors we now encounter in today’s world, have a very acidic internal biochemistry. It therefore is a perfect combination as the chlorine dioxide is attracted to the very same thing. This powerful molecule can move about the body without any problem, but when it encounters an enemy it goes into action, taking care of bacteria, toxins and viruses.
Fortunately healthy tissue and healthy bacteria do not like the same environment that chlorine dioxide and pathogens like. In fact they prefer an environment with a ph that is greater than 7. So they are unaffected by the chlorine dioxide and are not harmed in any way by its presence and its interaction with pathogens. They will not give up their electrons as the pathogen will. This makes for a perfect situation. The pathogens will be neutralized but the good tissue and good bacteria will remain unaffected.
If Chlorine dioxide does not encounter anything it wants to interact with in the body after an hour or so, it will turn into a nontoxic table salt and become a substance that is actually helpful to the body known as hypochlorous acid.
