At one of my last jobs this guy and girl I worked with went on the master cleanse lemonade cleanse. The diet is recommended for ten days. They committed to going on it for forty days. I did not stick around to see if they made their commitment. I left the company thirty days into their diet. They were still on it though when I left.
The guy, although I only knew him briefly through work, was the type who walked around with a challenge chip on his shoulder. You may consider your life relatively clean. You might not smoke tobacco or consume booze, so you might not think you need to detoxify your body. But take a look at what you eat, at your diet.
If you eat chips, frozen processed dinners, fast food, trust that your body builds up toxins. If you drink regular or diet soda pop, trust your body is building up toxins. Remember the word smog? If you live in an area with a lot of automobile traffic, trust you are breathing in toxins. The opportunity for you to consume and build up toxins is a lot longer than this but you get the idea.
Have you ever gone to bed skipping dinner? Have you ever gone on a fast? If so then you are probably familiar with that terrible taste in your mouth when you wake up in the morning. This is the taste of your body eliminating toxins from your system. Your body has a chance to detoxify itself when you do not eat for a period of time. That is part of the advantages of a fast.
Because you did not fill up on more food your body had a chance to get rid of the chemicals and elements your body needs to release to rebuild it, to restore it to a state of good health. But when we eat everyday the body has no chance to release those toxins because it is too busy digesting the food you consume every six to eight hours. But whether a fast diet is right for you is up to you and your doctor. You should consult with your physician before going on any type of fast diet, and the lemonade cleanse is no exception.
