When talking about possible treatments for Hepatitis, it should be understood that there are five strains of Hepatitis. Each of the strains are related by a different Hepatitis virus.
A virus known as HAV virus will cause Hepatitis A. Most cases of Hepatitis A are contracted in third world countries and are caused by poor personal hygiene that results from poverty, overcrowding, and poor sanitation. This strain of Hepatitis is very mild, has no symptoms, and the individuals that have it never even realize it. It usually cures itself within 4 to 8 weeks.
Hepatitis B occurs when a person comes into contact with infected persons body fluids. Hepatitis B is considered to be much more serious because it can cause swelling of the liver, possible damage to the liver, and may lead to the development of liver cancer. A cure is not always possible which means that the condition may be both life long and chronic.
Hepatitis D is caused by a virus called HDV. It will normally be contracted only by the people that suffer first from Hepatitis B. Hepatitis E is not usually seen in the developed countries because it’s caused by a water borne virus.
Hepatitis C, like Hepatitis B, is normally contracted by coming into contact with an existing sufferer’s body fluids. Also, as with Hepatitis C, other characteristics that it shares with type B are a swelling of the liver, possible liver damage, and the possible development of liver cancer. There are more cases of the Hepatitis C strain than any other in the developed world, and in the US alone there are 2.8 million sufferers, making this the most prolific type of blood born illness.
For the majority of people that are infected with Hepatitis C, death, (if it is the outcome), does not happen within the first 10 years of the date of the initial contraction. However sufferers do have an increased risk of death in succeeding years caused by a liver related condition, and this risk is further exacerbated if the sufferer consumes excess quantities of alcohol.
Cirrhosis of the liver will usually develop about 30 years after the Hepatitis is contracted. There are cases where Hepatitis C will turn into a very serious liver condition, but not in every case. The two most prevalent causes of serious liver conditions are caused by the misuse of alcohol or Hepatitis C.
Luckily, Hepatitis C has a ten year “incubation” period before it leads to something worse, and this allows ample time for a natural remedy to be found and taken. The best natural remedy is a change of diet which will in time remedy the condition and strengthen the immune system. Such diets can be found on the internet, and/or through your family doctor. A rigorous detoxification program is also necessary to rid the body of the harmful toxins that have built up. Many people also find that a meditational regime, if adopted, can also help in restoring calm and helping them to focus on maintaining their diet and avoiding alcohol.
